How we work across Sunshine Coast
This is the service page for pool equipment, and it does one job: it explains what Noosa Pool & Spa Centre supplies, installs and repairs, what changes from one Noosa suburb to the next, and then sends you to the page for your suburb. The six suburb pages are written separately because the equipment problems are different. Salt aerosol at Sunshine Beach, dune sand at Peregian Beach, leaf load at Tewantin and bore water at Doonan each shorten the life of a different component, and the right pump, filter or chlorinator for one is the wrong specification for another.

What Sunshine Coast does to a pool
The service area is small on a map and varied on the ground. Sunshine Beach is 1.8 km south-east of Noosa Heads, with the walking track from Noosa National Park's headlands running through to it and the surf a few streets from most pools. Peregian Beach sits further down the same coast with the national park at its back. Noosaville is 6.5 km west-south-west of the Heads along the river, where the Noosa Waters canal estate was developed by the Hooker Corporation in the 1980s and holiday apartments line the waterfront. Tewantin, the original settlement in the region, surveyed in 1871 and already the river port for the area by 1869, has the mature gardens to show for that timeline. Doonan lies about 10 km south of Tewantin on acreage, split between the Shire of Noosa and the Sunshine Coast Region, and Peregian Springs is a master-planned estate that sits in the Sunshine Coast Council area rather than Noosa Shire at all.
Those differences reach the plant pad directly. On the coast, onshore wind carries salt onto exposed equipment and dune sand ends up in the skimmer and the filter, so the components that last are the ones chosen for that exposure. Along the river and under the Tewantin canopy, leaf litter loads the filter, plant sits low on the river flat where height and drainage matter, and older pools run on original plumbing that has to be checked before anything is sized. In the hinterland, tank and bore water change the chemistry and a long pipe run and lift starve a pump sized for a suburban backyard. On the estates, pools that went in with the houses are reaching the age where the original pumps, chlorinators and heaters fail together.
So the same shop supplies a different specification to each suburb, and the six pages beneath this one are where those specifications are explained. Salt air and dune sand on the coastal strip
Sunshine Beach and Peregian Beach pools sit a few streets from the surf. Salt air shortens the life of anything left unprotected on an exposed equipment pad, and dune sand comes home from the beach and ends up on the pool floor, in the baskets and in the filter.
Equipment that looks fine until its third summer is the coastal pattern, and sand and frequent full baskets are hard on impellers and quick to blind a marginal filter, so a pool swum several times a day in summer needs headroom a hinterland specification never allows for.
We choose components with coastal exposure in mind, look at where the plant sits for ventilation, drainage and shelter from spray, build filter capacity in for constant fine sand, and stock the cleaners that lift wind-blown sand off the floor rather than redistributing it.
Canopy, the river flat and tank water in the older and acreage suburbs
Mature Tewantin gardens drop leaf litter into pools between visits, much of Noosaville sits low on the river flat, and the Doonan pools we service are filled from rainwater tanks or bores, often with the plant well away from the pool.
Leaf load blinds a filter and feeds algae, a plant area that sits low and drains poorly shortens the life of what is in it, tank water is soft and aggressive, bore water often carries iron and manganese, and a long pipe run starves a pump that was sized for a suburban backyard.
We fit larger filter capacity for gardens that drop constantly, check pipe sizing on older plumbing and measure the real pipe run and lift on acreage, treat fill water with sequestrants and hardness correction, and look at how high the plant sits and how the area drains before recommending anything.
Holiday-let use patterns and estate pools ageing together
Noosaville and Sunshine Beach carry holiday lets, body corporate complexes and resorts whose pools sit quiet for weeks and then carry a full house, and whole streets of Peregian Springs estate pools that went in with the house are reaching equipment replacement age at the same time.
A domestic-sized filter was never going to hold clarity through a peak week, chemistry swings hard between quiet and full, and replacing an original single-speed pump like for like repeats the running-cost mistake for another decade.

Installation and repairs are completed by our own technicians, who are fully certified and who work to Australian safety guidelines. The process is the same in every suburb: an enquiry by phone, email or the contact form; an application form so we can set up your account and the authority to enter your property; a scheduled first visit to assess the site; and then the installation or servicing itself, with updates along the way. Water testing at the shop is free, and it is the fastest way to tell an equipment fault from a chemistry fault before anything is bought. Shop hours are Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm and Saturday 8:30am to 12:30pm; technicians work Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm. Which suburbs do you supply and install pool equipment in?
Tewantin, Sunshine Beach, Noosaville, Peregian Beach, Peregian Springs and Doonan, each with its own page above, all served from the one shop at Noosa Heads. Peregian Springs sits in the Sunshine Coast Council area rather than Noosa Shire, and Doonan is split between the two; neither changes how we work there. If your address is somewhere else nearby, call 07 5447 3896 and ask before assuming we cannot help.
Do you stock pool equipment, or order it in?
Mostly stock. Pumps, filters, salt water chlorinators and replacement cells, heaters and heat pumps, robotic and suction cleaners, lighting, handrails, steps and slides are carried at 153 Cooyar Street, along with the chemicals to go with them. Something unusual may need ordering, and we will tell you that before you commit rather than after.
Do you install what you sell?
Yes. Installation and repairs are done by our own technicians, who are fully certified and work to Australian safety guidelines, Monday to Friday between 7:30am and 4:00pm. The process starts with an enquiry, then an application form to set up your account and the authority to enter your property, then a scheduled site visit before the work itself. We quote before work begins.
Should I repair the pump or chlorinator, or replace it?
It depends on the unit, its age and what has actually failed. A chlorinator often needs a new cell rather than a new unit, a pump that has been starved by a long or undersized suction line may be fine once the line is fixed, and an original single-speed pump on an estate pool is usually better replaced with a variable-speed unit than repaired. We diagnose first and quote before proceeding, so you decide with the figures in front of you.
Is the water testing really free, and do I have to buy anything?
It is free and there is no obligation. Bring a sample from the pool or spa to the Noosa Heads shop during shop hours and our team will check your levels and recommend a treatment. We do this because chemistry faults and equipment faults look identical from the pool edge, and testing first stops you buying a pump to fix what is actually a balance problem, or chemicals to fix what is actually a failing cell.
Do you supply equipment for body corporate, resort and holiday-let pools?
Yes. We supply and service residential pools, body corporate and resort pools and holiday properties across the six suburbs, from single-household pumps to chlorinators and filters sized for a complex's real peak occupancy. For a shared or holiday pool the sizing question is peak load rather than average, and the scheduling question is who notices a fault when nobody is home; both are covered on the Noosaville and Sunshine Beach pages.
